When will you get married? A newly released app will estimate the years, months, and days remaining until your wedding day – all based on Facebook data. “Just in time for Valentine’s Day TIME Magazine came up with an app to tell you the right time to get married based on the median age of marriage of your Facebook friends,” The Knot reveals. With potentially little time to spare, it may be time to start thinking about when – and where – you’ll get married. If you’re tying the knot in 2014, you may want to consider one of the simplest, and hottest, trends: an outdoor reception. Here are some pointers for planning the perfect outdoor wedding:
Prepare for the Worst
It’s your big day, and you want everything to be perfect. You are, however, going to have to give a little. When planning an outdoor wedding, it is critical to make preparations for all kinds of weather. Party tent rentals or wedding tent rentals can be fresh and simple, or sophisticated and detailed. Wedding tents rentals will keep guests comfortable in summer heat and/or protect dresses and suits if it should rain.
“Make your guests’ comfort top priority by making sure your site is well-equipped with things like fans, outdoor heating units, well-lit paths to the bathrooms, refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, and citronella candles,” wedding blog Loverly adds.
Be Considerate of All Guests
Keep your senior guests in mind as you plan the ceremony and reception. If you are inviting young children, you will need to consider them, too. Loverly recommends, “If there will be a lot of walking from the parking lot to the clearing in the woods where the ceremony is, let them know ahead of time on the website or even the invite.”
Keep Your Wedding Well-Lit
The Knot recommends lighting up your reception area with paper lanterns, strands of lights, candles, and delicate chandeliers. Lights can make the difference between a drab, boring wedding – or a beautiful, unforgettable venue.
Outdoor weddings are all the rage. Keep your outdoor wedding planning under wraps with party tent rentals, clear descriptions of the venue for guests of all ages, and plenty of twinkling lights.
